Cricut Creations! :)

I have had my cricut for about a year now but I am just got around to doing somethings for my classroom this summer.  Here are some of my creations.  :)

This is a REALLY old cardboard mail center that was falling apart that a fellow teacher of mine was giving away so I got my sweet husband to glue it back together and spray it purple and I cut out the cute numbers on my Cricut and here is the finished product.  Cute HUH?  :)
I always tape some sort of dicut to the floor for my kiddos to stand on and they ALWAYS end up looking pitiful by Christmas so this year i tried something different.  I used my Cricut to cut out circles and numbers and then I put the vinyl on the floor.
I will let you know how it works.  :)
I cut out vinyl shapes to put on my small group instruction table.

    1. Where in Alabama are you? I am in Alabama, too. :) I am moving back to first grade from fourth this year. I previously taught it for 7 years, beginning in 2006. Firsties these days are a lot different than 12 years ago! You have some really cute ideas. :)

  3. It looks great! Earlier this summer my husband and I were glued to e-bay for two weeks until we got a bundle package for a great price. Super excited to get more out of it for the classroom. What cartridges did you use?
PS-on your post regarding the first day-My kinders LoVe the Hip Hop Tooty-Ta! I have past students that come visit and STILL ask to do it!

  4. I use the Sesame Street font cartridge a lot. It has a few really cute fonts. I also use Alphalicious some too. I usually get my cartridges off ebay for really cheap though.

  5. Jamie,

How have the vinyl circles and numbers held up? I really need to put some #'s on my floor. I have used feet shapes before and taped them down with clear contact paper but they always seem to peel up. Thank you for the great idea!

    1. Did you remove them at the end of the school year? If so, how well did they come up?

    2. I did the same thing, and when they stripped the floors they took it off!

  7. Love the use of vinyl numbers on the floor. Is it keeping the "cutters" at bay?

  8. How do you stick the vinyl to the floor so they don't come up? Do you cover them with contact paper, glue them down?????

    Thanks

    1. The vinyl sheets are made with adhesive so it is just like a sticker.
